A person familiar with the decision says Sacramento Kings general manager Pete D'Alessandro has accepted a front-office position in Denver. D'Alessandro is expected to work in a support role under Josh Kroenke, the president of the NBA's Denver Nuggets and NHL's Colorado Avalanche. D'Alessandro was hired as general manager of the Kings in June 2013 after working in the Nuggets' front office.
