The Reds took advantage of Strasburg's quick exit to win for only the second time in 12 games. Strasburg gave up a solo homer in the first inning by Joey Votto -his first since April 28 - and walked Brayan Pena on his 16th pitch to open the second inning.

More and more, Justin Bour is blossoming into the kind of hitter that Dan Jennings and the Miami Marlins hoped he would become. Bour launched a three-run homer to back Dan Haren, and the Marlins extended Matt Harvey's winless streak to five starts by beating the New York Mets 4-3 on Friday night. In December 2013, shortly after taking over as the Marlins' general manager, Jennings plucked Bour from Chicago Cubs in the Rule 5 draft for players left off the roster.

''We put a lot of time in looking at the characters and factors that go into selection and retention of players, and color's never been one of them.'' Kelly traded McCoy to the Buffalo Bills in March for linebacker Kiko Alonso. The two-time All-Pro and leading rusher in franchise history then questioned Kelly's motives in an interview with ESPN The Magazine this month.

The difference maker also belongs to the Rangers: goaltender Henrik Lundqvist.
